Help me please (About MM)
Hello to all
I've read many guides and I checked many builds for a MM.
I recently made one, and I'm having a hard time with it. Why, you may ask? because I don't know what to do to keep them up.
I always happen to make like 6 or 7 minions at most, I can't reach the max number (10) because they just die too fast.
I use Verata's and Blood of the Master to heal them, but even with that, they drop very fast.
I'm so sure I am doing something wrong.
I tried also go as /monk, with more healing skills for my minions, but it just doesnt work well.
So I would like get advice for expert MM's, I know in this forum some people make very good MM's, so I want some advice from you all, about how to you use the MM, what's your tactic to keep 'em up, and such.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Where are you using the MM at?
I know you said you've checked the guides but the main things that i think could go wrong is soul reaping too low, death magic too low, not spamming BotM enough, or trying to do minion master in an area where most foes use AoE attacks.

In Factions cooperatives, for example. I cannot do more than 6 minions at time, they just die fast. :/
Anyway, which build you recommend me?

Um well theres different ones for different circumstances.
Really there isn't that many though....
Seems as if flesh golem is a must for factions in everyone's eyes but if your having trouble keeping minions alieve you might wanna try AotL this makes you able to constantly sac for your minions really. It makes a sac that would be 80 health decrease to a sac of 20 health. Mix that with just a few vamp horrors and your fine for a long time.
You can also do the walling type wich if you play it right you can sac almost as much as the AotL one. flesh golem, vamp horror, and bone horror. The way i play this is I start with flesh like any other then i make 1 vamp horror and while it recharges i make more bone horrors. the heals from vamps should be pretty good on helping you sac. once you get 10 minions i stop using boe horrors and only use vamp horrors and the majority of my flock becomes vamps 7-8 vamps is great so you can constantly sac to keep them alive while they keep you alive by blocking enemies and healing you.
The others are just straight minions and healing although i dont use them any more.
Just making fiends and bone horrors any time you can and saccing accordingly to your health.

If your not summoning a minion, you should be casting BotM. If your not casting BotM, you should be kiting. If your not kiting, you should be summoning a minion. Just make sure the monk on your team is okay with healing you often until you get your vampiric horrors up. If you have 10 minions, keep summoning new ones. They will technically reset the degeneration on one of your baddies, starting that one anew. Dark pretty much said everything you should know. Try again, with our advice. If it still doesn't work, use AotL (Aura of the Lich) and try again. Just keep spamming BotM!
Note that afflicted tend to kill minions VERY fast with soul explosion. This may be why you can't maintain ten minions.

Let's see...
Death Magic = 16 (+1 scar, +3 sup rune) - must in order to get 10 minions
Soul Reaping = 12 to 15 (needed to maintain energy)
Healing Prayers or Blood Magic = 3 (if HP; or upto 6 for Blood)
You can only heal minions with healing spells (from Healing Prayers) when not in battle, otherwise you are waisting energy trying to heal individual minions or getting yourself too close to the fight.
Using Blood Of The Master is good during a fight, but it must be constantly done, as both natural health degeneration and attacks work against a minion's health. Verata's Sacrifice is really only for when you are not in combat.
As time goes on, your minions start to suffer from greater and greater health degen. I know someone has posted a time schedule in this forum for health degen suffered by minions. Unfortunately I don't know who posted it, nor where in this forum it is.
You should always grab every body you can (don't bring Vile Henchie, he is a corpse exploder, which means less corpses for you).
What you should do is after a fight, heal all of your minions to near max health or max health. Then travel to next fight. Heal to max health before the fight, then charge (your minions, not you) into battle.
My N/Me and Rit/N both have only 12 in Death Magic, so I am easily able to get my max minions
Healing yourself? I use either Boon of Creation (Rit) or Blood Renewal (Necro). This heals me to max or near max health, so I don't worry about my sac spells.
Hope this helps. Good luck in becoming an expert MM.

Myself I use 16 Death Magic, 9 Soul Reaping, 10 Healing Prayers. I find that BotM and Heal Area/Karei's Healing Circle are enough to keep my minions alive. It's also important to remember to keep on making new minions even after you get to 10 minions because as people have said before minions get greater degen over time and you need to refresh the m with new recruits.
